Steeve-Mike Eyango: France-Cameroon midfielder joins Sarnese on free transfer from Foggia

France-Cameroon midfielder Steeve-Mike Eyango has joined Italian side Sarnese on a free transfer from Foggia. The 25-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Serie D club.

Eyango arrives with experience across the Italian pyramid, having featured in Serie A, Serie B, Serie C and Serie D earlier in his career. Standing at 1.80m and predominantly right-footed, he will operate in central midfield for his new side as Sarnese prepare for the upcoming Serie D – Girone H campaign.

The move continues Eyango’s journey through Italian football, which began when he left Bordeaux’s youth system for Genoa’s academy in 2019. He progressed to Genoa’s first team and went on to make appearances in the top flight and Coppa Italia, as well as gaining game time in Serie B and Serie C through spells with Cosenza and Siena.

After leaving Genoa in 2022, Eyango’s career took him into the lower divisions with Rimini, Giugliano and Barletta before he briefly found himself without a club. He then joined Foggia on a free transfer in March 2026, featuring in Serie C before making the step to Sarnese this summer.

Across his senior and youth career in Italy, Eyango has amassed over 80 competitive appearances, including more than 40 in the Primavera 1 youth league, where he contributed goals and assists from midfield. His current move sees him switch from the professional third tier with Foggia to Sarnese in Serie D on a permanent free transfer.
