Stade Brestois linked with Saint-Etienne teenager Djylian NGuessan
Djylian N’Guessan, a French-Ivorian forward at Saint-Etienne, is the subject of a rumour linking him with a move to Stade Brestois in Ligue 1.
N’Guessan, 18, plays as a centre-forward and is currently contracted to Saint-Etienne, who compete in Ligue 2. The possible move would see him step up to France’s top division, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed.
The teenager has yet to make an appearance for Saint-Etienne this season, with the club having played four possible Ligue 2 matches. He has not started a game or registered a goal or assist during the campaign.
N’Guessan joined Saint-Etienne’s senior setup from the club’s reserve side in January 2025, continuing his progression through the club’s academy system. He had previously moved from Saint-Etienne’s under-19 team to the reserves in July 2024.
His current market value is listed at €4m, while his contract with Saint-Etienne runs until 30 June 2027. That deal means the club would not be facing an immediate expiry issue if Brest were to pursue the forward, but the available information does not establish whether negotiations have taken place or whether a fee has been proposed.
For now, N’Guessan remains a Saint-Etienne player, with the rumour pointing to interest from Brest rather than a completed transfer.
