Sparse attendance of coaches at professional league’s communicative meeting raises concerns
- General assemblies for clubs for the 2023/2024 season.
- The proposed schedule for the 2024/2025 season.
- Presentation by the First Division Licensing Authority (OPI).
LNFP President Abdel Salam Belkchour opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the topics on the agenda.
However, the event was marked by the conspicuous absence of a significant number of first and second division coaches.
Only a few, including Amin Benhachem and Abdel Wahed Zemrat, attended, prompting questions about the effectiveness of such meetings without the key stakeholders present.
Following the opening remarks, LNFP Secretary General Khalid Maghrafi took the floor to present the proposed scheduling for the 2024/2025 season’s competitions.
His detailed exposition aimed to provide clarity and direction for the upcoming season’s fixtures and logistical considerations.
Subsequently, Mohamed El Bekali, head of the First Division Licensing Authority (OPI), presented an overview of the current status of club licensing for the 2024/2025 season.
His presentation sparked an extensive discussion, with directors and the few attending coaches raising pertinent questions and engaging in a thorough debate.
