FC Copenhagen sporting director, Sune Smith-Nielsen, has indicated that the club is delighted with the signing of Cameroonian youngster Youssoufa Moukoko.
The Danish giants sealed a deal to sign the attacker from Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, June 28.
“F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce the signing of German striker Youssoufa Moukoko, who will join the club with immediate effect,” the club said in an official statement.
Speaking on the new signing, FC Copenhagen Sporting Director Sune Smith-Nielsen said the signing is not just an investment for the present but for the future as well.
“This is a very exciting transfer. Youssoufa is a player with enormous potential and already has a lot of experience at the highest level. He fits perfectly into the profile we are looking for – young, hungry and with a high technical level. We believe that he can take the next step in his career here in Copenhagen.
“Youssoufa has faced some of Europe’s best defences and has shown that he can make a difference at that level. It is a transfer that will both strengthen us here and now – but also in the longer term.
“It is an investment in both the present and the future, but also a player that we need to allow to settle into our environment and build up in the right way,” Sune Smith-Nielsen said.
At FC Copenhagen, Moukoko has signed a deal until the summer of 2030. He will be hoping to excel at the club after ending his long stay at Borussia Dortmund.
