Spanish La Liga side Sevilla have reopened talks with goalkeeper Yassine Bounou about a potential return to the club in 2026.
According to media outlet ABC, Sevilla president José María del Nido Carrasco personally reached out to the Moroccan international while he was competing in the FIFA Club World Cup with Saudi side Al Hilal.
The 33-year-old Bounou remains under contract with Al Hilal until the summer of 2026 but has reportedly responded positively to Sevilla’s interest.
Facing ongoing financial constraints, Sevilla are focusing on cost-effective recruitment strategies for upcoming transfer windows, prioritising free agents and loan deals.
Bounou originally joined Sevilla in 2019 and featured in over 150 matches before his 2023 move to Al Hilal.
