Guinean international, Serhou Guirassy, hit a brace for Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night but it was not enough to save his side from a 3-2 defeat to FC Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League.
The prolific striker started the Round 6 game for his team in the first round of the competition and lasted the entire duration of the thrilling contest.
The first half of the game ended in a goalless stalemate before five goals were scored in the second half.
Barcelona took the lead in the 53rd minute through a strike from in-form Raphinha after Dani Olmo set him up.
Seven minutes later, striker Serhou Guirassy converted a penalty kick to restore parity to the contest.
Shortly after, Ferran Torres found the back of Dortmund’s net to give Barcelona a 2-1 lead.
However, Serhou Guirassy was not done and scored again to complete his brace.
Unfortunately, Ferran Torres was also determined to get a brace and did just that with an assist from Laimine Yamal in the final minutes of the match to win the game for Barcelona.
Serhou Guirassy and his Dortmund teammates will now have to regroup and prepare for the next game in the German Bundesliga against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
