Génération Foot and Jaraaf de Dakar will battle for silverware on Sunday, July 20, as the curtain falls on the Senegalese football season with the 2025 Senegal Cup final at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium.

Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 local time.

For Génération Foot, the final presents a crucial opportunity to rescue a season that has fluctuated between promise and frustration.

Finishing fourth in Ligue 1 with 46 points, Boubacar Gadiaga’s youthful squad arrives in the capital with something to prove.

Built on a foundation of academy-bred talent, the team is eager to secure its third national cup title, having previously lifted the trophy in 2015 and 2018.

Their last cup triumph came on the same pitch where they will face Jaraaf—a poignant reminder of past glories.

This final marks their third encounter with Jaraaf this season.

The first ended in a 2-1 defeat on the opening day of the league campaign, followed by a goalless draw in the return fixture.

Now, with everything on the line, Génération Foot are hoping to finally get the better of the Green and White.

Jaraaf, meanwhile, are aiming to write a new chapter in their storied history.

Already crowned league champions this year, the club is now chasing a prestigious domestic double—something they haven’t achieved in three decades.

The last time Jaraaf accomplished the feat was in 1995, and adding a 17th Senegal Cup title to their collection would further cement their reputation as the most decorated club in the country.

Their road to the final, however, wasn’t without controversy.

After a shock defeat to Builders FC in the earlier round, Jaraaf lodged a formal protest over the eligibility of an opposing player.

The Senegalese Football Federation upheld their appeal, awarding Jaraaf victory by default and clearing their path to the final.

Under the guidance of coach Malick Daff, the Medina-based outfit heads into the match full of confidence.

Their wealth of experience, coupled with a strong finish to the season, positions them as clear favourites.

With a ticket to next season’s CAF Champions League already in hand, Jaraaf will be eager to round off their campaign with more silverware.

But Génération Foot, with their blend of ambition and rising talent, remain undeterred.

For the Grenats, this is more than just a final—it’s a shot at redemption, revenge, and reaffirmation.
