Sekhukhune United sign Namibia striker Bethuel Muzeu from Black Leopards

Namibia international forward Bethuel Muzeu has joined Sekhukhune United from Black Leopards as the Betway Premiership side continue a major rebuild of their squad.

Sekhukhune confirmed the deal for the 26-year-old on Saturday afternoon, bringing in one of the standout attacking players from last season’s Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Muzeu arrives after Black Leopards’ relegation to amateur football, with the Limpopo club having finished 15th in South Africa’s second tier in the 2025-26 campaign.

The move sees the pacey striker link up with head coach Cedric Kaze ahead of the 2026-27 Betway Premiership season, bolstering Sekhukhune’s options in the final third as Babina Noko aim to strengthen across the pitch.

In a statement announcing the signing, Sekhukhune highlighted Muzeu’s pedigree and impact at both club and international level.

“The forward joins Babina Noko ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season, bringing quality, strength and proven goalscoring ability to the squad.

The transfer marks a swift return to the top flight for Muzeu, who had been one of Black Leopards’ key attacking threats before their drop out of professional competition.

His arrival continues an extensive squad overhaul under Kaze, with Sekhukhune looking to refresh their attacking options and add greater depth before the new campaign kicks off.

Muzeu has established himself as a full Namibia international, and his combination of speed and finishing ability is expected to offer Sekhukhune a different dimension in attack as they prepare for the forthcoming Betway Premiership season.

The club have not disclosed the length of Muzeu’s contract or any financial details of the deal, but view the striker as an important addition as they attempt to strengthen their position in South Africa’s top division.
