Sebela urges TS Galaxy Queens to focus on positives after Sundowns defeat

TS Galaxy Queens coach Tebatso Sebela says his side must take the lessons from their 5-0 defeat by Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and concentrate on finishing the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign strongly.

The Rockets were beaten by the defending champions at Wits Football Stadium on Sunday, but Sebela believes the result can still help his players prepare for the final stage of the season.

“Playing against Sundowns is always difficult. What can I say – it’s like having a short blanket in winter – when you cover your legs, the upper body suffers, and when you cover the upper body, the legs suffer,” Sebela told SABC Sport.

“So, as TS Galaxy, today we focus on the positives and move on.”

The Mpumalanga club have faced a difficult campaign, with Sebela taking charge after the departure of coach Sizwe Sibiya last month. TS Galaxy Queens are currently outside the top three, having taken 19 points from 11 matches.

Sebela said the competitiveness of this season’s league had made every fixture challenging, with teams pursuing different targets in the standings.

“Yeah, the league this season is interesting – everyone is fighting for themselves,” he said.

“All the teams are looking for three points for different reasons – some are looking to occupy fourth position, while others are looking to get out of the relegation zone, so it is always difficult.”

TS Galaxy Queens have three matches remaining in their 2026 campaign. Sebela wants his players to respond by working hard and attempting to win all of those fixtures as they look to move closer to a top-three finish.
