Former TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has been named the new head coach of Young Africans (Yanga SC) on Friday, replacing Miguel Gamondi, who was dismissed earlier this week.
Ramovic, who left his post at TS Galaxy after a 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch last week and said he was seeking a new challenge.
Gamondi, who had a successful career in South Africa, including a league title with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2007 and stints at Platinum Stars, was let go following a disappointing run of results.
Yanga SC, who had won their first eight matches of the season, suffered back-to-back home defeats to Azam and Taora United, leaving them trailing archrivals Simba by just a point.
Ramovic will make his debut in charge of Yanga SC later this month in the CAF Champions League, where the Tanzanian club is drawn in a tough group alongside Al Hilal of Sudan, Mouloudia Alger, and TP Mazembe of the DRC.
