Rostom Dendaoui joins JS Djijel after MC Algiers exit

Algeria centre-back Rostom Dendaoui has joined JS Djijel, completing a move to the club on 2 September 2026.

The 21-year-old defender arrives after leaving MC Algiers earlier in the summer. Dendaoui departed the Algerian champions on 11 July before joining JS Djijel, marking his return to club football ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Dendaoui made eight appearances for MC Algiers during the 2025-26 campaign, featuring six times in Ligue 1 and twice in the Coupe d’Algerie. He played 349 minutes across those competitions but did not score.

His season with MC Algiers ended with two honours. The club won the Algerian championship and the Algerian Super Cup in 2025-26, giving Dendaoui a league title and a domestic super-cup medal during his time in the senior squad.

The move to JS Djijel follows Dendaoui’s progression from MC Alger U21. He joined MC Algiers from the club’s under-21 side on 1 July 2025, having developed within the Algerian club system before making his senior appearances.

Dendaoui was born in El Hammamet on 29 June 2005 and plays primarily at centre-back. His arrival gives JS Djijel an Algerian defender with recent top-flight and domestic cup experience, as well as a season in which he was part of a championship-winning MC Algiers squad.

He has now switched from MC Algiers to JS Djijel, with the transfer completed on 2 September 2026.
