Despite not finding the net in Wednesday evening’s match at the Santiago Bernabeu against Borussia Dortmund, Karim Benzema played a crucial role as Real Madrid secured a 3-0 victory, courtesy of goals from Gareth Bale, Isco, and the ever-present Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reflecting on the match, Benzema expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and the result obtained. “For us, this result is crucial ahead of the return leg. We delivered an excellent performance. When we play like we did today, winning is normal. At Real Madrid, we understand the importance of winning every match,” Benzema stated.
Looking ahead, Benzema shared his aspirations of winning the Champions League (“Decima”) with Real Madrid, while emphasizing the team’s focus on the domestic league as well. “I hope we can achieve the ‘Decima,’ but our focus is also on the championship.
