Rayan Cherki has rejected reports of a disagreement with France team-mate Michael Olise, describing the claims as “another made-up story”.
Reports in France alleged that Olise was finding it difficult to understand Cherki and had been unhappy with the Manchester City attacker’s attitude during the pair’s time on international duty.
Cherki responded to the reports on X, writing: “Another made-up story. What an imagination.”
The claims emerged despite the two players combining effectively during France’s 4-1 victory over Belgium on Monday.
Olise provided the assist for Cherki to score France’s second goal before adding two goals of his own as Didier Deschamps’ side delivered an impressive performance.
Their display together on the pitch appeared at odds with suggestions of tension between the two players.
France will next face Italy at San Siro in Milan on Thursday, November 12.
