Raja Club administration plans legal action against El-Habbati
The management of Raja Club Athletic football team is preparing to take legal action against Zakaria El-Habbati, a player from the Royal Army team and former striker for the “Eagles,” due to derogatory statements, according to a statement from the “Green Team.”
Raja clarified in a statement that the media outing of player Zakaria El-Habbati was inappropriate after he accused Mohamed Boudrika, the club’s president, of pressuring him and subjecting him to threats in order to relinquish his dues in exchange for terminating his contract.
“The Green Team” emphasized that it will not hesitate to defend its name, “by all possible legal means, in order to restore its reputation and safeguard the rights of the team.”
The statement continued: “We must remind our loyal fans that this player, who has been managed by more than one administration, has been summoned numerous times to appear before the club’s disciplinary committees for his repeated violations of internal laws, and for his disgraceful and unprofessional behavior.”
“We also note that the team offered him several offers at the beginning of the season in comparison with his capabilities, including an offer from the Egyptian league worth $300,000, another from the Belgian league – Second Division worth €50,000, and also an offer from the Moroccan league by the Royal Army team worth 100 million centimes, all of which were strangely rejected by him, indicating his lack of interest in benefiting the club.”
“As the insults and insubordination continued, it was decided to hand him his papers in exchange for his voluntary and willing waiver of part of his dues.”
Raja concluded its statement by confirming that it will take the first step in the response process, which is to file a complaint with the Ethics Committee regarding El-Habbati’s statements, asserting that it will pursue other legal measures “to remedy any damage resulting from this unfounded insult through the media.”
