Right before their highly-anticipated CAF Super Cup final against Morocco’s RS Berkane, Egyptian club Pyramids received difficult news: two key players, Ramadan Sobhi and Osama Galal, will miss the big match.

The team’s medical staff recommended that both stars travel to Germany for advanced tests and treatment, with the club confirming this decision to ensure their long-term recovery.

After a historic season that saw Pyramids win the CAF Champions League for the first time, hopes were high. The club made its Intercontinental Cup debut with impressive victories over Auckland City and Al Ahli, securing a spot in the semi-finals. But now, Pyramids faces the final without important players, making the challenge even greater as they chase their first Super Cup title.

Club official Ahmed Zahir spoke about the decision, saying: “Ramadan Sobhi is dealing with a knee injury and Osama Galal suffered a muscle tear. The club wants both to get the best possible care, especially with a busy fixture list ahead.”

Despite setbacks, Pyramids remain focused and motivated, determined to add a new achievement to their history. Winning the African Super Cup would mark their emergence as one of the continent’s premier football clubs.
