Kolo Muani set to miss out on 2026 World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly told Juventus how much it will take to sign Randal Kolo Muani permanently, with the French champions placing a €30 million valuation on the out-of-favour forward following his disappointing loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

The France international has found himself on the fringes of PSG’s plans over the past two seasons and appears increasingly likely to leave the Parc des Princes before the close of the transfer window.

While his stock dipped during an underwhelming campaign in England, Juventus remain convinced the striker can rediscover the form that once made him one of Europe’s most sought-after attackers.

PSG name their price

According to reports from Italian outlet Gazzetta, cited by Football Italia, PSG have informed Juventus that a fee of €30m would be enough to secure Kolo Muani’s services on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old remains under contract with the Ligue 1 giants until 2028, but the club are reportedly open to a sale as they continue reshaping their attacking options. Having failed to establish himself as a key figure in Paris, Kolo Muani has spent recent seasons away from the French capital in search of regular football.

His first loan move proved considerably more successful than his second. During the latter half of the 2024-25 campaign, he joined Juventus and quickly made an impact, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. Those performances convinced many in Turin that he could become a long-term solution in attack.

Tottenham struggles fail to deter Juventus

However, Kolo Muani’s fortunes changed after he secured a loan switch to Tottenham for the 2025-26 season. Expectations were high when he arrived in north London, but the move failed to produce the desired results.

The striker struggled to adapt to the demands of English football and found goals difficult to come by. By the end of the campaign, he had scored just five times in 41 appearances across all competitions, a return that fell well below expectations for a player of his pedigree.

Despite that disappointing spell, Juventus have not been put off. The Serie A club are understood to have maintained their interest in the Frenchman and have continued discussions with PSG regarding a possible transfer.

The Bianconeri believe Kolo Muani’s previous success in Turin is a more accurate reflection of his ability than his difficult year at Tottenham. Club officials are reportedly keen to bring him back, believing he can again flourish in familiar surroundings.

Swap proposal emerges

While PSG’s €30m valuation is clear, Juventus are reportedly exploring alternative ways to structure a deal.

One proposal under consideration would see newly acquired striker Jonathan David move in the opposite direction as part of a swap arrangement. Such a deal could help Juventus reduce their cash outlay while offering PSG another attacking option.

Whether the French champions would entertain that idea remains uncertain. PSG are yet to indicate publicly whether they would be interested in receiving David as part of negotiations, leaving the discussions at an early stage.
