Petrojet have officially secured promotion to the Egyptian Premier League after holding Mansoura to a crucial draw on Thursday in Matchday 33 of the Egyptian Professional League.

The result took Petrojet’s points tally to 57, enough to confirm second place in the standings and clinch the final promotion ticket to the top flight, joining Al-Qanah, who had already sealed the league title and automatic promotion earlier in the campaign.

The achievement marks a long-awaited return to the Premier League after a 16-year absence, completing a remarkable comeback for the club after years spent battling in the lower divisions.

Petrojet enjoyed a strong and consistent season, maintaining their push during the decisive stages of the campaign. Their steady form ultimately paid off, fulfilling the objective set at the beginning of the season by the club’s management and technical team.

Next season will mark Petrojet’s fourth appearance in Egypt’s top division. Their first promotion came in the 2006–07 season, though they were relegated immediately. They returned in 2008–09 and managed to establish themselves for a brief spell before suffering relegation again in the 2009–10 season.

Since then, the club endured a lengthy absence from the top tier until this season’s successful promotion push.

Celebrations erupted after the final whistle, with players, coaching staff, and supporters marking the achievement—one that ends years of persistence and restores Petrojet to Egypt’s top football stage.
