Perez plans to keep Mbappe and Vinicius at Real Madrid
Real Madrid are at a turning point, with president Florentino Perez facing elections after leading the club since 2009.
If re-elected, the 79-year-old businessman plans to keep Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr at the heart of his project alongside Jude Bellingham. His rival, Enrique Riquelme, has promised that two new stars would join if he wins, but Perez’s vision focuses on building around the existing trio.
Despite this clear plan, many observers question whether Mbappé and Vinicius can coexist comfortably. Daniel Riolo recently argued that the club needs major changes, stating: “Vinicius is a question that arises, with Mbappe it is not possible. It will be one or the other.”
He added that Mbappe should play on the wing, agreeing with Toni Kroos on this point, which creates a natural conflict with Vinicius’s position.
Perez’s approach shows confidence in the French and Brazilian stars, even as debate continues about their compatibility. The decision will shape Real Madrid’s attack for the coming seasons and determine whether the club moves forward with both stars or makes difficult choices soon.
