Liverpool will begin a new commercial era when Turkish Airlines replaces Standard Chartered as the club’s main shirt sponsor from 1 June 2027.
The airline’s logo will appear on the front of the match shirts worn by Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and academy teams from the start of the 2027-28 season.
The agreement will bring an end to a 17-year period in which Liverpool have had the same principal partner, according to a statement issued by the club.
Standard Chartered, Liverpool’s main partner since 2010, will remain in that position throughout the 2026-27 campaign. From the following season, the bank will become a global partner, allowing its long-standing relationship with the club to continue.
Liverpool described the new arrangement as an important moment in the history of its shirt. The front of the shirt is regarded as one of the most prominent commercial spaces in sport, and the club said it had traditionally reserved that position for partnerships of long-term importance.
“Turkish Airlines will become part of that history from the 2027-28 season, as Liverpool Football Club enters a new chapter on and off the pitch,” the club said.
The partnership will see the airline’s name take a place on one of the most recognisable shirts in world sport. It will also mark the first change to Liverpool’s main shirt partner since Standard Chartered began its association with the club in 2010.
Ahmet Olmustur, chief executive of Turkish Airlines, said Liverpool’s global reputation and history made the agreement particularly significant for the airline.
“Liverpool Football Club is one of the most famous and respected football clubs in the world, with an exceptional heritage and a truly global fan base,” he said.
“We are extremely pleased that Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool’s main partner and that our name will take its place on one of the most iconic shirts in world sport.”
The deal will apply across Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and academy teams, making Turkish Airlines the principal brand displayed on the club’s shirts from the 2027-28 campaign.
Standard Chartered’s move to become a global partner from that season means the bank’s association with Liverpool will not end when its time as the main shirt sponsor concludes. The club described the relationship as one of the longest-running continuous partnerships in football.
Liverpool said the arrival of Turkish Airlines represented a fresh chapter both commercially and within the club’s wider history, while the change will not take effect until the end of the 2026-27 season.
