Paris 13 Atletico have confirmed the signing of experienced Cameroonian defender Arnold Temanfo, who joins the club as a free agent following a stint in the Iraqi Premier League.

Temanfo, 32, has returned to France after several months abroad, where he most recently featured for Al-Hedod SC, having previously turned out for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

Across his time in Iraq, he made 13 appearances and scored once, adding to an already diverse career spanning multiple countries and levels of football.

A seasoned campaigner in France’s lower leagues, Temanfo has accumulated 78 appearances in the Championnat National and a further 34 in Ligue 2.

His domestic résumé includes spells with Sète, Annecy, Dijon, and RFC Liège in Belgium.

His extensive experience will be a welcome addition to Paris 13 Atletico’s defensive unit as the club prepares for the upcoming season.

In a statement, the club expressed their enthusiasm over Temanfo’s arrival: After these difficult few months in Iraq, Arnold Temanfo is out for revenge and very motivated to bring all his experience to our team.

This move also marks a homecoming of sorts for Temanfo, who returns to the Paris region where he developed as a youth player.

Between 2019 and 2021, he represented Saint-Maur in National 2, further embedding his ties to the capital’s football scene.

Temanfo’s signing signals Paris 13 Atletico’s intent to add proven stability and leadership to their back line.

His familiarity with French football’s demanding lower tiers and his international experience make him a reliable figure both on and off the pitch.

After several months without a club following his exit from Iraq in February, the centre-back will be eager to re-establish himself in the French game.

With pre-season fast approaching, Temanfo will be expected to integrate quickly and provide an experienced voice in the dressing room as the club sets its sights on a competitive campaign in the National division.

Paris 13 Atletico will hope that Temanfo’s blend of resilience, tactical awareness, and battle-hardened mentality proves to be a decisive asset as they prepare to navigate the challenges of the new season.
