Hussein El Shahat has made Al Ahly’s mission clear ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup: play hard and make history.
The experienced winger says the team is focused on strong performances as they prepare to face top clubs from around the world.
“Our goal as Al Ahly players is to deliver strong performances and continue writing history in the name of the club in the Club World Cup,” El Shahat stated confidently. “We have great ambitions and enough experience to believe that we can go as far as possible in the tournament.”
Having featured in several editions, El Shahat is no stranger to the global stage. He played in the 2018 tournament with UAE’s Al Ain, earning a silver medal, and twice helped Al Ahly to bronze finishes.
“On a personal level, I feel honoured to be part of this great event again,” he added.
Looking ahead to their opening game against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, El Shahat noted the challenge but promised a full fight: “We will fight and give everything we have in order to win this difficult match.”
