Orlando Pirates winger Mohau Nkota faces another month out with injury

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says Mohau Nkota could be another three to four weeks away from returning to action after suffering an injury before rejoining the club.

The 20-year-old has returned to Pirates on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, having left the Buccaneers during the January transfer window. However, he is yet to make his second debut for the club.

Ouaddou confirmed that Nkota remains with the medical team and will not be available for selection until he has completed his recovery.

“Nkota is still with the doctors, making treatment. I think he had an injury with his previous club, but I hope to have him in three or four weeks,” Ouaddou said.

Pirates will therefore have to wait before the winger can be considered for match selection. Once fully fit, Nkota is expected to give Ouaddou an additional option in attack.

Nkota came through Pirates’ DStv Diski Challenge squad and made 39 appearances for the club before moving to Saudi Arabia. During that spell, he scored seven goals and provided five assists.
