Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs announce starting XIs for Soweto derby

Betway Premiership holders Orlando Pirates face arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with both clubs having confirmed their starting line-ups for the latest Soweto derby.

The match will be played on 31 October 2026 as Pirates look to continue a strong run of form against their biggest domestic rivals.

The Buccaneers have recorded consecutive 3-0 victories in the past seven days, beating opponents in the CAF Champions League and Carling Knockout. Their only defeat of the season came against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final in Durban a couple of weeks ago.

Kaizer Chiefs also arrive after a convincing Carling Knockout victory, having beaten TS Galaxy 3-0 earlier this week.

That result ended a difficult spell for Chiefs, who were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup by Red Arrows on penalties before drawing four successive league matches.
