Orlando Pirates’ Abdeslam Ouaddou and AmaZulu’s Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya honoured for August form

Orlando Pirates manager Abdeslam Ouaddou has been named Betway Premiership Coach of the Month for August, while AmaZulu forward Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has received the corresponding player award after a prolific start to the season.

Ouaddou led the reigning Betway Premiership champions through an unbeaten month, overseeing three victories and one draw as Pirates began their title defence strongly.

The Buccaneers’ results gave them what was described as a perfect start to their campaign, with the club immediately showing the form expected of the defending champions.

Leon’s strike came during Sundowns’ 3-2 victory over Usuthu at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The finish was judged the best of the month after beating two notable rivals.
