Omari Hutchinson joins AC Milan from Nottingham Forest for a season in Serie A

Omari Hutchinson will spend the next year at AC Milan after moving from Nottingham Forest, giving the 22-year-old winger the chance to continue his development in Serie A with one of European football’s biggest clubs.

The England youth international becomes the latest addition to the Italian side as former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim continues to reshape his squad. Hutchinson arrives at San Siro after making 42 appearances in all competitions for Forest last season, scoring once and providing eight assists.

His move to AC Milan represents the latest stage in a career that began in the Arsenal academy. Hutchinson left Arsenal to join Chelsea in 2022 and made two first-team appearances for the Blues before moving to Ipswich Town on loan.

The winger’s performances at Ipswich helped earn him a permanent transfer to the club. He subsequently joined Nottingham Forest last year, where he established himself as a regular contributor during the campaign.

At Forest, Hutchinson’s output included eight assists, although he found the net only once across his 42 appearances. His form has now led to an opportunity in Italy, with AC Milan securing his services for the next year.

The move adds Hutchinson to an increasingly busy summer recruitment programme at the Italian club. AC Milan have also brought in Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain and Diego Moreira from Strasbourg.

Those arrivals are part of a wider effort by Amorim to reshape the squad, with Hutchinson now joining the club as Milan continue to strengthen their options ahead of the new season.

For Hutchinson, the transfer provides an opportunity to test himself in Serie A and to continue his progress after spells with Arsenal, Chelsea, Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest. His professional career has included first-team football in England and a permanent move after his loan spell at Ipswich, before last year’s switch to Forest.

He will now spend the coming year at San Siro, where his performances will be monitored as he looks to make an impact for AC Milan. The move also gives the England youth international a chance to develop at a club with a significant standing in European football.
