Omar Marmoush starts on Tottenham debut against Newcastle
Omar Marmoush has been named in Tottenham’s starting XI for his first appearance since joining the club from Manchester City, as Tottenham face Newcastle United in the second round of the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Egypt international leads Tottenham’s attack alongside Mathys Tel and Pedro Porro, having completed his move to the club only a few days ago. Marmoush’s inclusion gives him an immediate opportunity to make his mark for his new side in front of the home supporters.
Savinho, who also moved from Manchester City to Tottenham with Marmoush, is unavailable for the match because of injury.
Tottenham will be looking to respond after a difficult start to their league campaign. They were beaten 4-0 by Brentford in their opening Premier League fixture and now face a Newcastle side also named with a strong attacking line-up.
