Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has spoken highly of Victor Osimhen’s influence since his arrival at the Turkish club, highlighting the striker’s work ethic and his selfless approach on the pitch.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international joined the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions on a season-long loan from Napoli.
Osimhen has made an immediate impact, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in just 12 appearances across all competitions.
Buruk praised Osimhen’s physical prowess and his overall contributions to the team, noting that the forward’s performances have been key in both domestic and European competitions.
“Osimhen is working hard, scoring, making assists. He is in great form and performing well. He is making a big contribution to the scores, both in Turkey and in Europe,” Buruk said, as reported by Skorer.
The coach also emphasized Osimhen’s team-oriented mentality, which he believes is one of the striker’s most valuable traits.
“His first characteristic is that he plays for the team, more than for goals or assists. He strives for the team,” Buruk added.
“Trying to make your teammate score rather than scoring yourself is very important and valuable. When we show this mentality as a team, no one can stand up to Galatasaray.”
Osimhen’s arrival at Galatasaray has brought a new dimension to the team’s attacking play, with the striker quickly becoming a central figure in their quest for success both domestically and in European competitions.
Buruk’s comments reflect the high regard in which Osimhen is held at the club, where his work ethic and commitment to the team have earned him admiration from both teammates and coaching staff.
