Étoile Sportive du Sahel announced on Thursday, February 1, 2024, the appointment of coach Ahmed Al-Ajlani to lead the team for the remainder of the season.
Al-Ajlani assumed his duties today, conducting his first training session with the team.
He will be joined by Mohamed Ali Nafkha and Saif Ghazal, who will serve as assistants in the coaching staff.
The appointment of Al-Ajlani comes as a replacement for coach Imad Ben Younes, who faced severe criticism after the team lost the Tunisian Super Cup.
Ahmed Al-Ajlani has previously coached the team Jewel of the Sahel, and his coaching experience extends to various Arab clubs, including Al-Hilal, Al-Qadsiah, and Al-Shoalah in Saudi Arabia, as well as Union de Tanger and Olympique Khouribga in Morocco. He also had coaching stints in the Qatari league.
The decision to bring in Al-Ajlani reflects the club’s commitment to strategic changes in response to recent challenges.
Étoile Sportive du Sahel aims to regain its competitive edge under the guidance of the newly appointed coaching staff.
