Moussa Bagayoko: Mali midfielder at Al-Watan linked with move to PSS Sleman
Moussa Bagayoko, the Malian central midfielder currently with Libyan Premier League side Al-Watan, is being linked with a move to Indonesian Super League club PSS Sleman.
The 27-year-old, born in Bamako and comfortable using both feet, joined Al-Watan on 1 July 2025 after a spell in the Middle East and South America, and is understood to be attracting interest from Sleman as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new campaign. Bagayoko is currently valued at around €150,000, a figure that could shape any negotiations between the clubs.
Bagayoko has built a reputation as a durable presence in the middle of the pitch, notably making 61 appearances in Turkey’s second tier for Adanaspor, where he played 4,470 minutes and contributed one goal and four assists. He later featured in Israel’s top flight with FC Ashdod and in Venezuela’s Liga FUTVE with Carabobo FC, gaining experience in both domestic competition and continental action, including brief outings in the Copa Libertadores and Europa Conference League qualifying.
His most recent regular run came in the Libyan Premier League, where he made 17 appearances and scored once, underlining his status as a consistent selection at Al-Watan. Having previously changed clubs several times on free transfers, including moves from FC Ashdod to Carabobo and then to Al-Shabab Club, his situation at Al-Watan is being closely watched in Indonesia as PSS Sleman weigh up whether to test the Libyan club’s resolve to keep one of their established midfielders.
