Egyptian attacker Mostafa Mohamed has noted that Egypt will not rely on just one player at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
According to him, although the national team has a strong attack and senior players, they won’t rely on a few players for success at the upcoming tournament.
“The whole Egyptian team is not dependent on attack only, and we are a full team from the first dressing room worker to the largest person in the team, and we do not rely on those in attack or defense, and we have senior players in the team such as Mohamed Salah and help us greatly,” Mostafa Mohamed told beIN Sports in an interview.
He continued, “Mohamed Salah is a great player and no one can say anything about him, and we are honored to have him with us and we are proud of being Egyptian and has a very big mentality, and we do not want to compare Salah with Omar Marmoush, each player in them has a different career.”
The 2025 African Nations tournament will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026.
Egypt is in Group A and will compete with South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
The Pharaohs just like every other AFCON tournament, will be heading to Morocco as one of the favourites.
