CAF has taken stringent action against the vice-president of Raja Casablanca, Mustapha Dahnane. The continental governing body has suspended Dahnane for one year following his accusations against CAF, particularly alleging that it was influenced by Guinean club Horoya during a Champions League match last month.
Raja Casablanca, discontent with their elimination, lodged several complaints, which were unsuccessful. CAF asserts that Dahnane made these accusations without substantiated evidence. Moreover, the sanction imposed on Dahnane may extend beyond the continental level.
In addition to the one-year suspension, Mustapha Dahnane has been fined $30,000.
