Morocco face Cameroon for place in Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final

Morocco will play Cameroon in the final semi-final of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations at Stade Moulay El Hassan in Rabat on Wednesday.

Kick-off is scheduled for 22:00 French time, with the match starting at 21:00 in both Morocco and Cameroon.

Viewers in France can watch the game on beIN Sports 1. It will also be broadcast on beIN Sports Mena 6 and Arryadia in Morocco, while Canal+ Sport Afrique will show the match in Cameroon.

Morocco are appearing in their third successive Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final. As hosts, the Atlas Lionesses reached the last four after beating defending champions South Africa 2-1 last weekend.

Sakina Ouzraoui gave Morocco the lead before Hanane Ait El Haj scored from the penalty spot to secure the victory. Another win would take Morocco into the final for a third consecutive edition.

Neither Morocco nor Cameroon have previously won the competition, meaning the semi-final offers both teams the opportunity to move closer to a first continental title.

Cameroon booked their place in the last four by defeating Nigeria 1-0 in the previous round. Nigeria had been Cameroon’s long-standing obstacle and entered the match as the reigning champions, but Myriam Nyadjou scored the only goal to send the Indomitable Lionesses through.

Victory would put Cameroon into the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final for the first time since 2016.

The two sides have met only once before in the competition. Their first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations meeting came in the group stage in 2000, when Cameroon won 4-1.

They have also faced each other twice in friendly matches. Morocco won 1-0 in September 2021, before Cameroon claimed revenge with a 1-0 victory in April 2025.

Wednesday’s semi-final will therefore be the fourth meeting between the two national teams in total and only their second at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Morocco will be aiming to continue their run on home soil and reach the final once again, while Cameroon will look to build on their win over Nigeria and return to the tournament’s showpiece match.

The fixture will be played at Stade Moulay El Hassan in Rabat, with the host nation seeking another step towards a first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title.
