Moroccan international Naif Aguerd nears return to French League
Moroccan international Naif Aguerd, the defender for West Ham United in English football, is increasingly likely to depart from the “Hammers” fortress starting from the upcoming summer transfer window, following a decline in his performance during the recent matches of the current football season.
According to informed sources cited by “Hesport,” Aguerd wishes to continue his journey within English stadiums for additional football seasons, aiming to further develop his skills and make a significant mark in the world’s best league.
The same source clarified that Olympique Lyonnais in France is interested in benefiting from Aguerd’s services on loan next season, but the financial value of the player remains a significant obstacle for the French team.
Additionally, the source pointed out that Aguerd is also attracting interest from some Spanish and Saudi clubs.
However, the “Atlas Lions” defender is motivated to continue his journey in the Premier League and solidify his position within David Moyes’ squad.
Former FUS Rabat player Aguerd has participated in 20 matches for West Ham so far during the current football season in the English Premier League, scoring one goal with a header against Chelsea in the second round of the competition.
Aguerd has also represented the Moroccan national team in 44 matches since his debut with the “Atlas Lions” in August 2016, scoring one goal with the national elite team.
