Mohamed Salah’s Trabzonspor contract includes €17m guaranteed package

Trabzonspor have revealed the financial details of Mohamed Salah’s two-year contract after the Egypt forward completed his move to the Turkish club.

Salah signed the agreement on Thursday morning, with Trabzonspor confirming that he will receive an annual salary of €10m. The deal also includes a €7m signing-on bonus, taking the guaranteed value of the package to €17m.

The contract contains further financial incentives linked to Salah’s performances during his time with the club, although the exact terms of those bonuses were not disclosed.

Trabzonspor also said Salah would receive 20% of the revenue generated from official products released in his name. His agent’s commission has been set at 5%, according to the contract details published by the club.

The 34-year-old completed his medical examination on Wednesday before formally signing for Trabzonspor the following morning.

Salah received a significant welcome from supporters after arriving in Trabzon. Speaking to reporters, he said: “There are 25,000 people here. I don’t remember seeing anything like this before at an airport.”

He added: “Seeing this love and attention makes me incredibly happy. I even find it difficult to express it in words.”

Salah said he was already looking forward to beginning work with his new team, adding: “I am very happy and looking forward to training with the team. I always aim to win something wherever I go, and I hope we can achieve good results in the league and in Europe.”

The move brings to an end Salah’s nine-season spell with Liverpool, during which he made 315 appearances for the club. He scored 191 goals and provided 93 assists for the Reds.

Trabzonspor’s announcement makes clear that the financial agreement combines a substantial fixed salary with additional revenue opportunities and performance-related payments. The club has also included a commercial arrangement that gives Salah a share of income from official merchandise carrying his name.

Salah’s arrival has therefore been confirmed both on the pitch and in contractual terms, following his medical, his formal signing and the public details of the agreement released by Trabzonspor on Thursday.
