Mohamed Salah and Fabinho named in Trabzonspor starting XI against Amed Spor
Fatih Tekke has named Mohamed Salah in Trabzonspor’s starting line-up for their Turkish league match against Amed Spor, while Fabinho makes his first start for the club.
The game is being played in the third round of the Turkish league, with Trabzonspor looking to improve on their position in the early standings.
Fabinho has been included from the start only days after joining Trabzonspor from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. The Brazilian midfielder’s selection represents his first appearance in the club’s starting XI since completing the move.
Salah will lead the attack alongside Paul Onuachu and Noah Saviolo. The former Liverpool forward has been chosen by Tekke as part of a front three for the meeting with Amed Spor.
Trabzonspor’s starting XI is:
Goalkeeper: Andre Onana
Defenders: Stefan Savic, Chibuike Nwai, Mustafa Eski Helac, Sidney Cabral
Midfielders: Enis Muci, Maliq Kabaskal, Fabinho
Forwards: Noah Saviolo, Paul Onuachu, Mohamed Salah
The selection places Fabinho in the midfield with Enis Muci and Maliq Kabaskal, while Salah is stationed in the forward line with Saviolo and Onuachu.
Trabzonspor go into the match in eighth place in the Turkish league table with four points from their opening two games. Amed Spor are 12th with three points.
The two sides therefore meet with Trabzonspor holding a one-point advantage over their opponents in the standings. The match is their third league fixture of the campaign and provides both teams with an opportunity to add to their early points totals.
For Trabzonspor, the main focus will be on the attacking combination selected by Tekke, with Salah and Onuachu leading the line. Fabinho’s inclusion also gives the match added significance, as the Brazilian begins his Trabzonspor career as a starter after arriving from Al-Ittihad.
The Turkish side’s defence features Andre Onana in goal, with Stefan Savic, Chibuike Nwai, Mustafa Eski Helac and Sidney Cabral named in front of him.
Amed Spor will face a Trabzonspor side that has made several notable selections for the third-round fixture, including the first start for Fabinho and the inclusion of Mohamed Salah from the opening whistle.
