Mohamed Ali Zoma transfer race intensifies as FC Nuremberg demand more than €30m

Mohamed Ali Zoma is attracting growing interest from across Europe, with FC Nuremberg reportedly seeking more than €30m for the 22-year-old striker.

AS Roma, Napoli, Bournemouth and Brentford are among the clubs monitoring the Ivory Coast-born forward, while West Ham have already made an approach for his signature.

According to information from Ekrem Konur, West Ham offered €20m for Zoma. That proposal was rejected by the German club, who have since raised their asking price and will now consider his departure only if a bid of more than €30m is received.

Zoma’s emergence has placed him at the centre of an increasingly competitive transfer situation, with interest coming from clubs in several European leagues. No agreement has been reached, but the number of potential suitors could increase as the next transfer window approaches.

The striker remains under contract with FC Nuremberg until June 2029, giving the club a strong negotiating position. His current valuation on Transfermarkt stands at €20m, meaning there is already a significant gap between the widely assessed market figure and the fee demanded by his club.

That difference could make negotiations more difficult, particularly if interested clubs are unwilling to meet FC Nuremberg’s increased expectations. The eventual outcome is likely to depend on whether one of Zoma’s suitors is prepared to match the German side’s valuation.

Brentford are also due to face Hull City in their eighth match of the English league season.
