Military Club advances to League Cup semifinals after shootout victory over Gouna

In a nail-biting quarterfinal clash, the Military Club secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Egyptian League Cup, defeating Gouna 6-5 in a penalty shootout.

The fiercely contested match unfolded today, showcasing the determination and skill of both teams.

Ahmed Abdel Rahman opened the scoring for the Military Club in the 27th minute, setting the tone for an intense encounter.

Gouna, however, managed to level the score in the 70th minute through Ashraf Magdi, keeping the match finely balanced.

With neither side able to break the deadlock, the game eventually headed to a penalty shootout.

In a dramatic turn of events, the Military Club emerged victorious in the penalty shootout, prevailing with a scoreline of 6-5.

This hard-fought win propels them into the semi-finals of the domestic tournament, where they will continue their quest for silverware.

The thrilling shootout added an extra layer of excitement to an already captivating quarterfinal, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the Military Club’s next challenge in the League Cup.
