Ma’tamad Gamal has refused to serve as an assistant to the new Zamalek coach, the Portuguese Gomez, who recently signed a contract with the White Knights for a season and a half.
Having temporarily led Zamalek, Gamal was given the freedom by the management to choose between remaining as an assistant or leaving, and he opted for the latter.
Hussein Labib, the president of Zamalek, stated, “Ma’tamad Gamal and Abdel-Monsef have left the team.
They are loyal club figures, and their expertise will be utilized in other positions within Zamalek in the upcoming period.”
The Zamalek team is gearing up for a clash against Ismaily on the 19th of this month in the 13th round of the Premier League.
