Before the kickoff of their match against Manchester United in the ongoing 2023-2024 English Premier League season, Manchester City supporters showed solidarity with Palestine on Sunday.
The gesture of support from Manchester City fans comes in response to the brutal attacks carried out by Israeli forces on the Gaza Strip since the onset of Operation Aqsa Tempest last October.
Manchester City is set to face off against their arch-rivals Manchester United in the Manchester Derby at the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of the Citizens, in the 27th round of the Premier League.
Before the match, Manchester City fans raised banners supporting Palestine outside the stadium ahead of the Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Notably, they adorned sculptures of former United player Eric Cantona and Riyad Mahrez, the former City player, with scarves.
