“Our confidence and determination to prove the innocence of the Club are just as strong as they were at the beginning of this case,” Al Mubarak said.

“There is so much I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we are so confident in our position. But the strict confidentiality of the legal process, and our determination to respect it, mean that I cannot do so at the moment.

“Even this letter has been subject to several legal checks to ensure that it complies.”
