Mabululu agrees two-year deal with Wiliete SC to return to Angola
Angolan international striker Mabululu has reached an agreement to join Wiliete SC, with the experienced forward set to sign a two-year contract as he returns to continue his professional career in his homeland.
The 34-year-old is expected to complete the move in the coming days, bringing an end to his spell abroad and marking a homecoming to the Angolan top flight.
The deal will see Mabululu remain with Wiliete until 2028 as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Mabululu becomes a significant addition for Wiliete, who are looking to build on their recent progress and make a strong impact both domestically and in continental competition.
His vast experience and proven goalscoring ability are expected to provide a major boost to the club’s attacking options.
The striker has enjoyed a distinguished career, representing several clubs in Angola before making a name for himself in North African football.
He earned widespread recognition during his time with Egyptian side Al Ittihad Alexandria, where he established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players, before later featuring for Al Ahli Tripoli and returning briefly to Al Ittihad.
On the international stage, Mabululu has been a regular for the Angolan national team and played a pivotal role in the country’s recent successes.
He was among Angola’s standout performers at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, helping the Palancas Negras reach the quarter-finals with a series of impressive displays.
His return to Angola is seen as a major coup for Wiliete SC, with the experienced striker expected to bring leadership, quality and valuable experience to a side aiming to challenge for major honours during the 2026/27 campaign, including the CAF Champions League.
