LIGUE 2-FC METZ: DIAFRA SAKHO WANTS TO “LOOK ELSEWHERE”
Diafra Sakho, the prolific striker of FC Metz, expressed his commitment to the club and his desire to see out the season with them. Despite potential interest from other clubs, Sakho affirmed his focus on helping FC Metz secure promotion to Ligue 1, stating, “I don’t want to leave FC Metz, I want to stay here until the end of the season.”
However, Sakho hinted that his future might lie elsewhere if FC Metz secures promotion to Ligue 1. He acknowledged the possibility of seeking opportunities outside the club, stating, “If we move up to Ligue 1, it will be time for me to look elsewhere.”
With an impressive tally of sixteen goals in the Ligue 2 season so far, Sakho has attracted attention from clubs in England, Germany, and even within Ligue 1. Both Marseille and Newcastle are reportedly monitoring his situation closely, indicating potential destinations for the Senegalese striker.
Sakho’s contract with FC Metz runs until 2017, but his outstanding performances have put him in a position to explore new opportunities and challenges at higher levels of competition.
