Lassine Sinayoko leaves Auxerre with pride

Lassine Sinayoko’s season at Auxerre has been one of redemption, resilience, and real influence.

After a tense summer in 2025, when a move away from the club nearly turned into a serious breakdown with the hierarchy, the Malian forward ended up becoming a decisive figure in Auxerre’s survival push.

Rather than holding onto frustration, Sinayoko chose to commit to the club again. He signed a new deal in January 2026, a gesture that protected Auxerre’s interests and reflected his gratitude to the team that helped shape his career.

On the pitch, he more than justified that trust. Sinayoko was directly involved in 47 percent of Auxerre’s league goals this season, finishing with 12 goals and four assists in 32 matches. His late-season burst was especially important, with six goals in the final eight rounds, including a crucial brace in the 2-0 win at Lille.

Now set to depart this summer, he does so as one of the club’s most important players and with his value significantly higher than before. Lens, Rennes and Crystal Palace are among the clubs monitoring him, and Auxerre are expected to receive a strong fee for a player who leaves with the mission accomplished.
