Kylian Mbappe remains Real Madrid’s top earner, and the financial impact of his move from Paris Saint-Germain is still being felt well beyond the pitch.
The 27-year-old arrived on a free transfer and signed a huge contract that cemented his status as the club’s new superstar at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Central to that deal is his mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, whose own salary underlines her influence in modern football.
Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that Lamari earns around 4.5 million euros net per year from her role, a figure higher than the wages of seven senior Real Madrid players: Raul Asensio, Franco Mastantuono, Gonzalo García, Andriy Lunin, Fran García, Arda Guler, and Brahim Díaz.
Mbappe’s contract has already triggered internal tension, with Vinicius Junior reportedly stalling his renewal as he pushes for pay closer to the Frenchman’s level.
Beyond negotiating deals, Lamari has also been deeply involved in her son’s legal battles, including the high profile dispute with PSG that ended with the Parisian club ordered to pay 60 million euros in unpaid salaries and bonuses.
