Konyaspor sign French-Ivorian winger Jean-Luc Dompe on free transfer

French-Ivorian winger Jean-Luc Dompe has joined Konyaspor from Hamburg on a free transfer, moving to Turkey’s Super Lig after four years with the German club.

The 31-year-old left winger has signed a contract with Konyaspor until 30 June 2028. Dompe becomes a Turkish Super Lig player after completing his move on 28 August 2026.

Dompe spent the previous four seasons at Hamburg, having joined the club from Belgian side Zulte Waregem in August 2022 for a fee of €1.1m. His departure brings an end to his time with the German club, where he played after spells in Belgium and France.

The winger was named the best assist provider in the 2. Bundesliga for the 2024-25 season. That recognition came during his time in Germany and represents the most recent individual achievement recorded in his career.

Dompe began his senior career with Valenciennes before moving to Sint-Truiden in 2015. He joined Standard Liege in January 2016 and helped the club win the Belgian Cup later that year. His career also included loan spells at KAS Eupen and Amiens before free transfers to KAA Gent and, later, Hamburg.

At Konyaspor, Dompe will offer experience on the left side of attack. He is listed as a right-footed winger and is 1.70m tall, while his football background spans clubs in France, Belgium and Germany.

The transfer also represents a change of league for Dompe, who moves from Hamburg to a Konyaspor side competing in Turkey’s top flight. His new contract runs for two seasons beyond the 2026-27 campaign, securing his terms with the club until the end of June 2028.

Dompe has now completed his free transfer from Hamburg to Konyaspor.
