Kolo Muani to rejoin Juventus from PSG in loan deal with obligation to buy – reports

Juventus have reached a final agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to Turin on loan with an obligation to buy, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

The French forward is set to move during the current summer transfer window, with the deal structured as an initial loan that will become permanent if Juventus qualify for a European competition at the end of the season.

Tuttosport reports that the total value of the transfer will exceed €45m, to be paid to Paris Saint-Germain should the obligation to buy be triggered.

Kolo Muani is expected to undergo his medical later this week before completing the move.

Terms of the agreement

Under the proposed contract, Kolo Muani will earn a net salary of €5.5m per year, with a further €1.5m available in bonuses.

The obligation to buy is understood to be conditional on Juventus securing a place in any European competition for the following campaign, rather than being linked to individual performance targets.

Tuttosport describes the 27-year-old as an ideal fit for the playing style of Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, stressing how the forward’s attributes align with the tactical demands expected of him in Turin.

Second spell in Turin

The transfer would mark Kolo Muani’s second stint at Juventus. He previously wore the Bianconeri shirt for six months, joining in January and staying until the summer of 2025.

He spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, where he made 41 appearances in all competitions. During that spell in north London he scored five goals and provided four assists.

Career to date

Kolo Muani began his professional career in France with Nantes before earning a move to Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, where his performances attracted interest from across Europe.

He subsequently joined Paris Saint-Germain, adding Ligue 1 and Champions League experience to his CV, and then moved to the Premier League on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.

Over the course of his senior career he has represented Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain in France, Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany and Tottenham Hotspur in England.

If the agreement is finalised as reported, Juventus will be adding a versatile forward with experience in three of Europe’s major leagues, as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the coming season while structuring the deal around their push to return to European competition.
