Kingsley Ehizibue: Netherlands-Nigeria right-back linked with Torino move
Netherlands-Nigeria defender Kingsley Ehizibue, currently a free agent after leaving Udinese, is being linked with a move to Torino as the Serie A club explore options at right-back. The 31-year-old, who operates primarily on the right of defence, is available without a transfer fee following the end of his spell in Udine earlier this month.
Torino’s interest comes with Ehizibue bringing significant top-flight experience in Italy, where he has made 115 Serie A appearances, as well as previous spells in the Bundesliga and Eredivisie. His time in Italy has included regular league football and outings in the domestic cup, while earlier in his career he featured prominently in the Dutch top flight.
Born in Munich and standing at 1.89m, Ehizibue is a right-footed full-back whose career was established at PEC Zwolle before he first left the Netherlands in 2019 for 1. FC Koln. A €2m move from Zwolle to Cologne marked his breakthrough into one of Europe’s major leagues, before Udinese brought him to Serie A in 2022 for a reported €1.5m fee.
His market value was most recently listed at €2m, a figure that underlines why a no-fee deal is being monitored closely by clubs seeking experience without a major outlay. As things stand, Ehizibue remains without a club following his July departure from Udinese, leaving him free to negotiate directly with interested sides as Torino weigh up whether to formalise their interest.
