Jayden Peti Peti: French teenager leaves Lille for AEL Limassol move
French midfielder Jayden Peti Peti has joined Cypriot side AEL Limassol from LOSC Lille U19. The 18-year-old defensive midfielder moves to the Cyprus League club ahead of the 2026-27 season as he takes his first step into senior football.
Peti Peti, who was born on 26 April 2008 and is eligible for both France and Congo, has been part of Lille’s youth set-up and most recently featured for their under-19s. His switch to Limassol has been completed in the summer window, with the transfer formally recorded on 16 July 2026.
The midfielder is primarily deployed in a holding role, offering protection in front of the back line and operating at the base of midfield. Last season he appeared in France’s National U19 Group A competition, making 12 appearances and amassing over 400 minutes of football as he continued his development in the Lille system.
Peti Peti has also been involved in youth cup action, featuring in the set-up that competed in the Coupe Gambardella, France’s prestigious under-19 knockout tournament. His time at Lille’s academy has given him experience in a competitive youth environment before making the move abroad.
By joining AEL Limassol, Peti Peti links up with a club competing in the Cyprus League as he looks to make the transition from youth football into the professional game. The transfer from LOSC Lille U19 to AEL Limassol is confirmed for the 2026-27 campaign.
