Jay Enem transfer latest: FC Lugano consider move for Bologna forward

Dutch-Nigerian forward Jay Enem is the subject of a rumoured move from Bologna to Swiss Super League club FC Lugano.

The 23-year-old joined Bologna from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade on 31 August for a reported €6m, but has yet to make a Serie A appearance. Enem signed a contract running until 30 June 2030 and has a current market value of €4.5m.

Before moving to Italy, the 1.95m centre-forward made two league appearances for Red Star during the 2026-27 season, scoring once. He also featured twice in Europa League qualifying, registering one assist, and played twice in Champions League qualifying.

Enem joined Red Star permanently from OFK Beograd in July after helping the Belgrade club win the Serbian league title during the previous campaign. His career has included spells in Italy with Venezia and loans at Omonia 29th May and Ethnikos before his move to Serbian football.

The potential switch to Lugano would represent another change of club shortly after Enem’s arrival at Bologna. Any move would involve a player tied to the Italian club for almost four more years, with no indication that the transfer has been completed.
