Jaouen Hadjam is being linked with a move from Swiss champions Young Boys to Turkish giants Besiktas, with the transfer probability currently rated at 46% according to data from Transfermarkt.

The 22-year-old left-back, valued at €9.00m, has emerged as a rumoured target for the Istanbul club as they look to strengthen on the left side of their defence. While no agreement has been reached and there is no indication yet of contract lengths or personal terms, Hadjam’s situation at Young Boys is drawing attention, with his contract details not publicly listed and the possibility that he could move on under favourable conditions for the buyer.

Hadjam joined Young Boys from FC Nantes in January 2024 and has since seen his market value rise sharply, climbing from €2m on arrival in Switzerland to €9m by June 2025. That rapid appreciation underlines why Besiktas are thought to be monitoring him closely as they search for a dynamic, attack-minded full-back for the Süper Lig.

Born in Paris on 26 March 2003, the 1.85m defender holds both Algerian and French nationality and is naturally left-footed. He came through the youth systems at PSG, US Créteil-Lusitanos and Paris FC before progressing to Paris FC’s first team and then moving on to Nantes in Ligue 1. His experience across French professional football and now the Swiss Super League offers a blend of tactical schooling and competitive pedigree that could appeal to Besiktas’ recruitment team.

With the rumour still at a speculative stage and no confirmed transfer fee, attention will focus on whether Young Boys are prepared to cash in on one of their most valuable defensive assets. If a deal does materialise, a switch to Besiktas could mark the next major step in Hadjam’s career, providing a larger platform in Istanbul and potentially elevating both his reputation and long-term prospects on the European stage.
